2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and be responsible for activity under your account. You may use the service if you can legally enter into this agreement or act for an authorized organization.
Do not transfer or share your account or bypass security controls. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. The service
upub converts supported PDF, DOCX, HTML, Markdown, text, image, and audio files into reflowable EPUBs. Depending on the source, processing may use local tools or AI-assisted OCR and layout analysis.
Outputs are generated automatically. Complex layouts, scan quality, equations, footnotes, tables, or copy protection can affect results. You are responsible for reviewing an output before publishing or distributing it, even when a quality report is provided.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of your content. You grant us the limited permission needed to host, copy, transform, and transmit it to technical providers only to deliver, secure, and support the service.
You confirm that you have the right to use and convert the content and that it does not violate copyright, privacy, personality, trademark, or other rights. Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized personal data.
5. Prohibited use
You must not:
- Disrupt the service, accounts, networks, or security controls.
- Upload malware, unlawful material, or works you have no right to process.
- Abuse the system with automated requests, reverse engineer it, or resell capacity.
- Use outputs for deception, rights violations, or unlawful activity.
6. Credits and payment
Packages are one-time page-credit purchases, not subscriptions, and do not expire unless clearly stated otherwise. Credits are not money, deposits, or transferable value. Processed pages consume credits.
Price, currency, tax, and total are shown before order confirmation. Polar Software Inc. collects payment as merchant of record and authorized reseller. See the Pre-Contract Information and Digital Service Terms for purchase and refund details.
7. Intellectual property
The upub software, brand, interface, templates, and service materials belong to Avus or its licensors. These terms grant only the right to use the service for your personal or authorized business purpose; no source-code or trademark rights transfer to you.
8. Suspension and termination
We may reasonably suspend accounts that violate these terms or law or create security or user risk. Except for urgent security or legal needs, we will provide notice where practicable. You may request account closure or data deletion by e-mail.
9. Liability and changes
We provide the service with reasonable care but cannot promise every source will convert perfectly, without interruption, or display identically on every device. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected, and liability is not excluded where the law prohibits exclusion.
We may update these terms for legal or technical changes. We will notify you of material changes and request renewed acceptance where required. Turkish law applies, without removing mandatory rights and remedies available where a consumer lives.
